Council of Chiefs
Throughout the year, the Section gathers the Section Officers, the Committee Chairs, and the Lodge Chiefs from each Lodge to plan the activities and program of the Section. This includes approving our operating budget, planning conclave, and determining how to best serve the Lodges in our Section.
Section Conclave is the gathering of the seven Lodges in our Section, spanning Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan. Arrowmen gather for a great weekend of fun, games, learning and to elect our Section Officers.
Each Lodge hosts the Section Conclave on a rotating basis.
Each summer, the Order of the Arrow offers a myriad of different High Adventure opportunities to meet your summer needs. Maybe it’s wetting your appetite by going for a plunge in the Atlantic Ocean with the Ocean Adventure at the Florida Sea Base. Or maybe hiking is your passion; if so, what better place to go than the Philmont Scout Ranch, where you can hike the same trails as your Scoutmaster or Scouting ancestors as a part of your Trail Crew experience? Have you ever thought about what the Native Americans and early explorers did to be avid traders? Maybe the OA Voyage is your calling. Whatever your summer aspirations may be, these National High Adventure bases have put together a multitude of options for you.
The National Leadership Seminar is a weekend conference focused on the skills and attributes of leadership. It is intended primarily to enhance the leadership skills of the Order of the Arrow’s key youth and adult members as they seek to improve their services to the Boy Scouts of America and the greater community.
Developing Youth Leadership Conference
The Developing Youth Leadership Conference will deepen an adviser’s capacity to develop youth leadership within the lodge and chapter. Conference topics will include fostering a growth mindset, promoting resilience, providing constructive feedback that leads to changes in youth behavior and creating a life-long coaching/mentoring relationship.
